So I just updated one of my “older” blogs to make the search results and archive pages (date, tag, and category pages) much more user friendly, and an amazing thing happened. My page views went way up. You have to remember people might come to your blog because of one thing, but hopefully once they get there they find other things they might like even better. And hopefully that process is easy enough for them that it doesn’t scare them off.
I had horrible bounce rates before, and it seems like people didn’t spent a lot of time on the site, or even on the page they came to look at. Now it seems like people are spending time on every page they view. So I highly recommend, get those search results and archive pages presentable.
