I’ve been looking back longingly at the past today, but at least one aspect of my life is definitely in its heyday. Design.
Design is more popular now than ever. High school kids think about design, nerds think about design, and every day people are more aware of how they are affected by design. We’re at a point where “open source” design often beats that produced by “professional” designers or agencies. And there’s a lot of room to improve.
I think we’ll see design getting quite a bit better over the next couple of years. And who knows, maybe someone will be able to develop a Drupal theme that someone actually likes? I mean, anything can happen.
It’s an exciting time to be a part of design. Live it, live in this moment, be a part of this. This is good.
